Petite clothing - what does the word "petite" mean?
Let's start with what the word "petite" means, which often appears in my statements. The word "petite" comes from French and means "small" or "delicate". In English, it is often used in reference to slender and short women.
Petite clothing is clothing designed specifically for women with smaller body sizes. Petite clothing differs from standard clothing in terms of proportions, length, and size.
Here are some differences between petite clothing and regular clothing:
– Shorter sleeves and pant legs – petite clothing has shorter sleeves and pant legs to better fit the proportions of a smaller body.
– For petite women – Narrower waist – petite clothing has a narrower waist, or, as in Petite Pants, each model of petite trousers features a special elastic for adjustment, because women with smaller body sizes typically have proportionally smaller waists.
