About the Ryłko × Petite Pants campaign and the real needs of Petite Women. Together with the Ryłko brand, we showed how important a well-chosen styling is for women of shorter stature. We drew attention to something that is rarely talked about in fashion: that small shoe sizes are a real need for thousands of women.
At Petite Pants, we talk daily with customers who are looking for proportion, comfort, and elegance - both in clothing for short women and in shoes. That's why the collaboration with Ryłko was a natural extension of this mission for us. We wanted to show that choosing the right footwear can change comfort as spectacularly as well-tailored petite clothes.
Small shoe sizes for Women - why is their absence such a big problem?
Finding suitable shoes in sizes 33-35 can be a challenge. Standard collections usually start from 36, and small-sized women's footwear often sells out the fastest. Yet, well-fitted shoes should be a standard in every person's wardrobe, just like well-cut trousers or the right coat length. When a shoe is even slightly too big, stability, comfort, and the lightness of the silhouette are lost - that's why small-sized women's shoes are so important.
The Polish brand Ryłko offers smaller, rarely found sizes in other stores in its collection. Ryłko genuinely meets needs that have often been overlooked until now. Their offer includes a wide range of sizes, starting from 33, so people with small feet can finally find shoes that are not only aesthetic but, most importantly, perfectly fitted. This is the foundation of their approach: every petite shoe must be perfectly fitted, regardless of whether you wear a small or large size.
Calf width - just as important as size
Many petite women who choose small-sized women's shoes have slimmer calves and ankles. As a result, standard boot shafts often turn out to be too wide.
The shoe gapes from the leg, creates a "hole" at the calf, and adds visual heaviness. This distorts proportions in exactly the same way that overly long trousers or too voluminous sleeves do. Additionally, it is uncomfortable.
In selected models of women's shoes in small sizes, you can independently choose the shaft width, selecting from sizes S, M, or L. This solution truly makes a difference, because each of us has a different calf and ankle structure. The ability to adjust the shaft to your own proportions helps to avoid the effect of a gapping boot and ensures that the footwear fits the leg exactly as it should. Boots for narrow calves are a practical answer to needs that have been overlooked for years in standard collections.
Among the models that particularly caught attention in our collaboration were black boots with a narrow, elastic shaft made of soft synthetic nubuck. This is a modern and minimalist, yet extremely functional proposition for women with a slender figure. The high 7.5 cm heel optically lengthens the legs but remains stable and comfortable for everyday wear. The round toe gives the boots a subtle, elegant character, and the elastic shaft adapts to the shape of the calf, eliminating the problem of gapping boots. This is exactly the type of model that petite women often seek - visually light, proportional, and structurally well-thought-out.
How to match small women's shoes with petite styling?
In the Ryłko x Petite Pants campaign, we presented several shoe models that particularly meet the needs of Petite Women. Among them were pumps with a low heel, ideal for those who prefer elegance in a subtle, slimming version. The first model is dark brown pumps made of soft velour leather, with a varnished heel height of 4.5 cm. The slimming pointed toe and well-covered upper ensure that the shoe fits well on a smaller foot, maintaining a classic yet modern character. This model perfectly complemented our brown suit set for Petite Women.
The second suggestion was black pumps with a block heel. Made of velour and fastened with a delicate strap, they combine stability with a feminine line. Such a model is an excellent option for work, but also for occasions where comfort, proportion, and elegance matter. The model perfectly complements the Margot skort and the Celine coat, creating a classic, harmonious styling.
The campaign was complemented by boots with a narrow shaft made of brown velour leather, combining elegance with everyday comfort. They proved particularly suitable for narrow calves. The elastic band at the shaft and a full-length zipper facilitate adjustment. The narrow shaft and rounded toe ensure a proportional fit of the shoe on the leg, emphasizing its slimness.
When shoes fit, the entire styling is refined
The collaboration with Ryłko was something special for us. As a brand that creates space for Petite Women, we were able to combine our experiences and the real needs of our customers. The result was showing that small-sized footwear with a narrow shaft can be beautiful, comfortable, and of great quality.
We want as many Petite Women as possible to know that such shoes exist – and that they can genuinely change the comfort of everyday styling. Because when footwear fits, everything starts to work together. Proportions fall into place, the silhouette looks light, and everyday outfits simply become perfect.
It's also worth remembering that well-chosen small-sized women's shoes act as the "icing on the cake" in petite styling: they organize the leg line, don't overwhelm the foot, and allow for free movement.
